About Us
The Division of Occupational, Environmental, and Climate Medicine (OECM), separately constituted but closely interlinked at UCSF Parnassus-Mount Zion, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System. The Division of OECM has achieved national and international recognition as a center for research, training, and clinical care in its field.
Moreover as one of the few such Divisions firmly based within a Department of Medicine (most academic units are housed in a Department of Preventive Medicine or a School of Public Health), UCSF’s occupational, environmental, and climate medicine presence is particularly noteworthy in US academic internal medicine.
The mission of the Division of Occupational, Environmental, and Climate Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco is to advance the field of occupational and environmental health through research, education, and service to patients and the community.
