New Medical Director of Occupational Health Services: Rahmat Balogun
Dr. Rahmat Balogun is a Physician with graduate medical training in Internal Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Integrative Medicine. As an occupational medicine specialist, she cares for patients with conditions related to their work or workplace. Her approach to care is integrative based on her training background and combines biomedical treatment approaches with complementary and integrative approaches, such as yoga and other mind-body practices and nutrition.
She serves as Medical Director of Occupational Health Services and Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in the UCSF Division of Occupational, Environmental, and Climate Medicine (OECM). She serves as Program Director of OECM Grand Rounds. She directs educational programs for the Division of Occupational, Environmental and Climate Medicine at UCSF, including the Grand Rounds and the elective rotation for medical students. Her role in medical education includes mentoring, and teaching residents in Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency Program as well as medical students and other visiting trainees.
