New OECM Associate Chief for Clinical Services: Timur S. Durrani

Timur S. DurraniTimur S. Durrani, MD, MPH, MBA, was appointed the new Associate Chief for Clinical Services in the Division of Occupational, Environmental, and Climate Medicine (OECM) at UCSF after a nationwide search.  He also serves as the Medical Director at ZSFG Occupational Health Services. 

He has served in many roles at UCSF and at ZSFG, including as Clinical Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy; teaching the Medical Toxicology Fellows; training Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and OEM Residents; consulting on the Medical Toxicology Service; consulting with the UCSF Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit; and previously serving at OHS at ZSFG. Most recently, Dr. Durrani was the Medical Director at Lawrence Berkeley Labs. Dr. Durrani has a distinguished career of military service in the Army, and currently serves in the Army Reserves. He also consults with multiple government agencies and others on complex environmental health issues. Dr. Durrani is Board certified in Family Medicine, Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, Medical Toxicology and OEM.

He started on May 1, 2024,  International Workers Day. Welcome back, Timur!!
